Adoption fees for dogs and cats at area shelters. Prices include some varying services and some shelters offer reduced prices for seniors.

Petaluma: dog/puppy $95, cat/kitten $80

Healdsburg: dog/puppy $100, cat/kitten $80

Pets Lifeline: dog/puppy $125, cat/kitten $75

Rohnert Park: dog/puppy $80, cat/kitten $80

Sonoma County*: dog $103-$178, puppy $88-$138,

cat $80-$110, kitten $80-$95

Sonoma County Humane Society: dog $130-$200, puppy** $225, cat $100, kitten $150

Marin County Humane Society: $135 for dog, puppy, cat and kitten

* costs varies depending on weight of the animal for spay/neuter

** cost includes four-week training program
