A teenage driver suffered major injuries Wednesday when she lost control of her car trying to avoid stopped traffic on the freeway.
The girl, 17, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries after the 11:30 a.m. accident, said CHP Officer Juan Leon.
Leon said the driver turned hard to miss stopped traffic, causing the car to overturn and end up off the freeway.
The girl, who had to be cut out of her car, was northbound on Highway 101 near Rohnert Park Expressway when the crash occurred.
