Redwood sparks Guerneville blaze

<p>A falling redwood tree knocked a power line into a Guerneville house Wednesday sparking a small fire, authorities said.</p><p>Firefighters contained the blaze to the roof and attic of the Canyon Drive home, limiting damage and saving exotic pets including pythons, iguanas, scorpions and a parrot.</p><p>Russian River Fire Capt. Rob Cassady credited a quick response to a neighbor who was outside and saw smoke coming from the two-story house.</p><p>No one was home at the time of the fire.</p><p>The fire was reported at 12:52 p.m. and was under control 27 minutes later. Firefighters remained on scene until shortly after 3 p.m.</p><p>Cassady said a PG&amp;E crew responded to handle the downed line, which knocked out power to other homes in the neighborhood.</p>
