Turin gets OK to buy Carrier Access

<p>Carrier Access Corp. shareholders approved a $93 million deal Friday to sell the Colorado wireless access company to Petaluma-based Turin Networks.</p><p>Turin will pay $2.60 in cash, without interest, for each share of Carrier Access common stock.</p><p>Carrier Access has its headquarters in Boulder and a research and development center in Shanghai, China. The publicly held company makes wireless technology that helps carriers deliver Internet-based phone and data service.</p><p>Turin has about 100 employees in Petaluma and about 100 at locations in Texas, Massachusetts and sales offices worldwide.
