Turin gets OK to buy Carrier Access

Carrier Access Corp. shareholders approved a $93 million deal Friday to sell the Colorado wireless access company to Petaluma-based Turin Networks.
Turin will pay $2.60 in cash, without interest, for each share of Carrier Access common stock.
Carrier Access has its headquarters in Boulder and a research and development center in Shanghai, China. The publicly held company makes wireless technology that helps carriers deliver Internet-based phone and data service.
Turin has about 100 employees in Petaluma and about 100 at locations in Texas, Massachusetts and sales offices worldwide. The company will have about 350 workers when the deal is complete.
