34° FOGGY, Power restored to most of North Coast

Two customers remained out of power Monday, after this weekend’s strong winds blew power out to thousands of PG&E users in the North Coast.
The customers still in the dark are in the Russian River area on Martinelli Road. They’ve been out since 4:15 p.m. Saturday when falling limbs downed power lines, said Jana Schuering, PG&E spokeswoman.
They were due to be back on by mid Monday afternoon, she said. Repair work required a three-person crew to fix three stands of downed wire, as well as a tree to be removed.
More than 3,200 PG&E customers in Sonoma and Mendocino counties remained without power Sunday afternoon. That number dropped to about 750 homes and businesses by Sunday evening.
Wind gusts up to 60 mph were reported along the coast. The weather for the next several days is supposed to remain dry with no significant wind.
