Sebastopol man arrested after sword attack at Burger King

<p>A Samurai-sword-wielding Sebastopol man was arrested Monday after allegedly wounding a friend at a fast food restaurant, then threatening police with the weapon.</p><p>David Ferris, 22, was taken into custody at gunpoint, Sebastopol police said. He was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a deadly weapon at police officers.</p><p>Police were called to the Burger King restaurant on Gravenstein Highway at 7:30 a.m. Monday to investigate a stabbing.</p><p>A 20-year-old man from Sebastopol was found inside the restaurant with a severe cut on his arm from a Samurai sword, police said.</p><p>The man, whose name wasn't released, was treated at a hospital and discharged.</p><p>Police said Ferris and his assailant were friends.</p><p>When officers arrived at Ferris' apartment, also on Gravenstein Highway, he opened the door wielding the sword and standing in a fighter's stance, police said.</p><p>Ferris was arrested without further incident and booked into Sonoma County Jail.</p>
