New CEO for Santa Rosa bank

Summit State Bank has promoted Tom Duryea to serve as chief executive officer and president of the Santa Rosa bank.
Duryea replaces John Lewis, who recently retired as CEO but will continue as chairman. Terrance Davis, the bank’s president and chief operating officer, has resigned.
Duryea joined Summit in 2001 as a business loan officer and became chief credit officer in 2006. Previously, he worked with California Bank & Trust, Union Bank of California and Wells Fargo.
Duryea earned a bachelor’s degree in Economic History at UC Berkeley in 1981 and studied French language at La Sorbonne in Paris in 1982. He is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Summit operates branches in Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Petaluma and Windsor. It reported $340 million in assets at the end of 2007.
