Candelight vigils for crime victims

The Sonoma County District Attorney's office is sponsoring candlelight vigils as part of National Crime Victims' Rights Week, which honors victims of violent crime.
The vigils will be at 6 p.m. tonight at Depot Park in Santa Rosa and Walnut Park in Petaluma on Wednesday.
At the hour-long ceremony, the names of about 30 victims of assaults, elder abuse and drunken drivers will be read aloud.
There will be speeches by District Attorney Stephen Passalaqua and representatives from United Against Sexual Assault, Redwood Childrens Center and YWCA.
