SSU names new business dean

<p>SANTA ROSA, April 16, 2008 – Sonoma State University announced today that it has named Dr. William Silver the new dean of the School of Business and Economics effective July 1.</p><p>Dr. Silver is currently the senior associate dean and chief operating officer at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. Last year, the part-time MBA program at Daniels was ranked sixth in the country and first in the southwestern region by Business Week magazine.</p><p>Dr. Silver has a degree in organizational psychology from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Washington.</p><p>Dr. Silver replaces Sonoma State’s interim business dean T.K. Clarke, who took over the position following the retirement of James Robertson.</p>
