SANTA ROSA, April 16, 2008 – Sonoma State University announced today that it has named Dr. William Silver the new dean of the School of Business and Economics effective July 1.
Dr. Silver is currently the senior associate dean and chief operating officer at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. Last year, the part-time MBA program at Daniels was ranked sixth in the country and first in the southwestern region by Business Week magazine.
Dr. Silver has a degree in organizational psychology from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Washington.
Dr. Silver replaces Sonoma State’s interim business dean T.K. Clarke, who took over the position following the retirement of James Robertson.
