A gunman also carrying a weed whacker and wearing a protective mask robbed an armored truck Wednesday morning at Santa Rosa’s Montgomery Village shopping center.
Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Lisa Banayat said officers were searching for the suspect, who robbed the truck’s guards outside of Bank of America.
The holdup occurred at 10:23 a.m. No one was injured.
How much cash was stolen wasn’t available. But Banayat said some cash was recovered in the shopping center.
Another armored car robbery occurred in September at the Exchange Bank on Stony Point Road.
