Kenyan crafts display set for Sebastopol Gallery

Rehoboth, a Kenyan women's crafts collective based in the village of Deepsea in Nairobi District, displays its baskets and jewelry Tuesday through June 29 at the Sebastopol Gallery, 150 N. Main St.

Kenyan artist Milka Kabochi will attend the opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Talking Tree will provide live music at the reception, with Mike Lesch and Davey Dijoux playing traditional African folk tunes.

The show, titled "Animalia," also features African-themed artwork by the gallery's member artists, including Rebecca Love, James Reynolds, Sandy Eastoak, Susan St. Thomas, Christine Cobaugh and Susan Amalia.
