Sonoma staffing company gets new CEO

<p>The Nelson Family of Companies, a Sonoma-based group of staffing and workforce management businesses, said Thursday it has named Jonathan Parker as its new chief executive officer.</p><p>Parker will succeed the company’s founder and CEO, Gary D. Nelson, who will continue to serve as chairman of Nelson’s board of directors. </p><p>Parker has been a member of Nelson’s board for five years. He is vice chairman of Boston Private Finance Holdings, a private banking and investment management firm. He also worked as a management consultant. </p><p>Nelson has about 370 employees, including 86 in Sonoma County. The group reported $396 million in sales last year and placed 21,000 workers in jobs. </p><p>Its businesses include Nelson and Associates, Nelson Technology, Nelson Staffing, NelsonJobs, WorkforceLogic and HRhome.</p>
