Neither the White House nor Republican National Committee officials would disclose the location of the reception, meant to generate support the presumptive GOP nominee, John McCain.

But a party source requesting anonymity said 112 people would attend, donating about $850,000.

Bush is expected in the valley following a whirlwind visit to Northern California wildfires.

He will fly aboard Air Force One to Redding and make an aerial tour of the fires.

Later, he will honor three Eagle Scouts at a Redding ceremony.

Bush will return south to Napa, possibly through Travis Air Force Base, sometime in the afternoon.

The reception is in the evening. The president is expected to depart Travis just before 8 p.m.
