Police identify suspected bank robber

A gambler who frequents card rooms in San Rafael and Emeryville is being sought by Santa Rosa police for the robbery of a Montgomery Village bank.

Police said he may be driving a black 2004 Mazda 3.
The robbery occurred July 23, when a man went into the US Bank at 9:47 a.m., gave the teller a note demanding money and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect was identified by a photograph taken by bank cameras, said Sgt. Lisa Banayat, a spokeswoman for Santa Rosa Police.
Police have a $50,000 warrant charging Wenmoth with suspicion of robbery.
