Three people were taken to hospitals after sustaining non-life threatening injuries in a two-car accident at 2 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Los Alamos Road and Highway 12 on Santa Rosa’s east side.

Witnesses said a motorist driving a silver Chrysler sedan westbound on Highway 12 apparently ran a red light, striking an eastbound Chevrolet Suburban as it was turning northbound onto Los Alamos Road.

The collision spun the SUV onto its roof.

The injured included the driver and a passenger in the sedan and the driver of the SUV.
