The Department of Motor Vehicles has suspended Saturday service during August, part of the fallout of the state budget crisis, state officials announced.
The Santa Rosa office on Corby Avenue is among the 53 offices normally open for business on the third Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon.
But due to cutbacks in staffing, the office will be remain closed on Aug. 17.
Normal hours will continue Mondays through Fridays and can be found for all DMV offices on the DMV website, www.dmv.ca.gov.
