About 1,500 customers of Horizon Air and sister carrier Alaska Airlines were victimized by a former call center employee who stole their credit card information, according to Alaska Air Group, the airlines' parent company.

The customers are being notified of the breach, the company said last week.

Horizon offers daily flights from Santa Rosa to Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland and Las Vegas. It's unclear whether any customers on those flights were affected.

The former call center worker diverted payments meant for Horizon and Alaska to a personal account between August 2006 and June 2008, according to Alaska Air Group.

The Seattle-based company is cooperating with law enforcement in an investigation, it said.

Customers are not being held responsible for any repayment, the company said. Further information is available at its Web site, alaskaair.com.
