Two people were reportedly rescued by a passer-by as their vehicle caught fire Monday afternoon near Middletown in Lake County, a CalFire official said.
The vehicle rolled over about 4:20 p.m. on Highway 175 one mile north of Middletown, according to CalFire and the CHP.
No details on the incident were available Monday night, the CHP said.
Cal Fire Capt. Joe Petersen said the vehicle was engulfed in flames, which spread to nearby vegetation, but the fire was quickly controlled.
