A pedestrian who ran out onto rural Highway 29 Monday night was struck and killed, the Napa County CHP reported Tuesday.
The victim wasn’t carrying any identification and efforts to determine his name and what happened were continuing Tuesday, the CHP said.
The man crossed into the path of driver Kathy Wood, 49, of St. Helena. She was driving north at about 8:15 p.m. on the Napa Valley highway near the Oakville Grade when she struck the man.
Wood, driving a 2006 Volvo S60, had minor injuries. She declined to be transported to an area hospital, saying she’d seek medical help on her own, the CHP said.
