A Santa Rosa man died and his passenger was seriously injured Sunday when the motorcycle they were on crashed at Konocti Harbor resort Sunday night.
James O'Donnell, 44, was pronounced dead at a helicopter landing zone near Konocti, according to the California Highway Patrol.
His passenger, Shelly Grove, 44, also of Santa Rosa, suffered major head trauma and was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, the CHP said.
O'Donnell is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the CHP.
He was traveling south on the driveway to Konocti Harbor, where a KISS concert had just concluded, when the accident occurred, the CHP said.
He was traveling at an unsafe speed and had passed another vehicle when his motorcycle careened off the road and hit two trees and a rock, the CHP said.
