The arrest last week of a robbery suspect believed to have struck at seven gas stations and other businesses in Santa Rosa and Rohnert Park has not put an end to the armed robberies.

Rohnert Park police say they had another one Thursday night.

This time the culprit wore a red, full-face motorcycle helmet when he approached a clerk at the Tesoro gas station on Redwood Drive, pulled out a handgun and demanded she open the register, authorities said.

The man then grabbed money from the till and escaped the store on foot, running toward the In-N-Out Burger restaurant, authorities said.

The perpetrator of the 9:46 p.m. robbery was described as a thin white man between about 19 and 22 years old.

Rohnert Park Public Safety officers searched the area with assistance from a Sonoma County sheriff's canine unit and the department helicopter, but were unable to find a suspect, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the incident can call authorities at 548-2600.

The incident follows the Aug. 29 arrest of Matthew Meehan, 25, a Rohnert Park man identified from surveillance footage and accused of seven robberies over 13 days in Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa.

Meehan remained in custody Friday with bail of $150,000, jail personnel said.
