Man killed by Metrolink train

<p>A Metrolink commuter train fatally struck a man Wednesday and witnesses reported he had jumped on the tracks, police said.</p><p>The approximately 50-year-old man died at the scene, said Fire Department spokesman Ron Myers.</p><p>The man was struck about 9:20 a.m. in the Sylmar area of the San Fernando Valley.</p><p>San Fernando Police Lt. Tony Ruelas said three witnesses reported they saw the man jump in front of the train.</p><p>On Sept. 12 a Metrolink train collided with a freight train in Chatsworth, killing 25 people and injuring more than 130 others.</p>
