NOVATO, October 2, 2008 – The city of Novato and the North Coast Railroad Authority did not come to a decision when they met Thursday in a special City Council session to try to settle a year-long lawsuit the city filed against the NCRA.

Jeffrey Walter, attorney for the city of Novato, said there will be a closed session Saturday and another on Oct. 8 when he said they hope to reach a decision.

He said the city is asking for additional silent safety warnings at crossings before a settlement.
