SANTA ROSA POLICEChristopher Anthony Lavis, 41, is being sought on suspicion of murder.
Police obtained a no bail warrant for Lavis' arrest Thursday and said they consider him to be armed and dangerous.
Lavis's mother, Constance Elizabeth LaSalle, was found dead Saturday night in her condo in the 300 block of Stony Point Road.
LaSalle lived alone, and neighbors had become increasingly worried about her when they hadn't seen her for several days and noticed her cat was not cared for and her car was missing.
Police said they found the car in San Francisco, where Lavis is known to hang out.
He's described as 5 foot 9 inches tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
