Candidate's mug switched in Web mix-up

For two days, Judy Kennedy’s photo disappeared from a city of Santa Rosa Website that features the positions and faces of the 15 City Council candidates.
Between 8 p.m. Sunday and midnight Tuesday, three young girls playing at the city’s Camp Kennedy were featured where Kennedy’s face should have been.
Kennedy said she discovered the problem Tuesday, called city officials, and by midnight her face was back online.
Kennedy said she initially suspected a prankster hacked into the city’s computer system and substituted the photos. But she said an official called to say it was a simple mistake.
“It was a freak accident,” said Eric McHenry, the city’s chief technology officer. McHenry said the mix-up occurred when a park and recreation department employee found Kennedy’s photo on a Web page that should have shown the Camp Kennedy photo.
In attempting to correct the mistake, the employee inadvertently directed those seeking park and recreation and City Council information to the Camp Kennedy photo, McHenry said.
“I have no hard feelings,” Kennedy said.
