A third wounded man in the confrontation has not been detained.
Deputies arrested Rick Varni, 29, of Santa Rosa and Russell Daniels, 22, of Vallejo, Sgt. Tim Duke reported.
One of the two suspects was shot during the melee and the other man was hit in the head with a blunt instrument, Duke said.
The two men had arrived at the Todd Road house of acquaintances at about 7:40 p.m. Monday.
Investigators believe that at least one of the two men fired at a man in the home during the incident, wounding him.
A resident of the home called for help at 7:42 p.m. Monday saying someone had been shot and the shooter was still at the house, Duke reported.
Arriving deputies found one man at the house with a gunshot wound to his right forearm. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
Witnesses told deputies they had seen two men flee the house in a black Lincoln SUV and deputies tracked them to Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa where they’d gone for medical treatment.
Deputies found the vehicle at the hospital riddled with bullet holes and spattered with blood. It was cordoned off by police.
One man had multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was being treated at the hospital.
Following interviews and investigation, including three search warrants at three locations, detectives arrested the two believing they had started the shooting.
Daniels was booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit assault with a gun. Varni was arrested on suspicion of threats to commit a crime resulting in death or great bodily injury and assault with a gun.
Earlier Monday, deputies had gone to the same Todd Road home after residents said had been the victims of a home invasion robbery.
Three robbers, at least one whom was carrying a gun, took 30 marijuana plants. The intruders also had handcuffs, which they used on two residents.
Sheriff’s officials Tuesday didn’t say whether the two cases were connected.

RE: Link
Your discription of location of home points at only 1 location. You described the home at intersection of Todd and Llano on the South side. Todd Road does not go South of Llano, but goes East-West. Llano goes North-South and only intersects with Todd. Did you really mean to point out this house?

This has to be the most poorly written article I've ever read. it has no flow or information. It is confusing and hard to understand. Who did what to who?
