A Napa teacher was arrested Sunday after an investigation into a Sonoma teenager's allegation that the instructor molested him for two years.
The victim, now 18 years old, told officials in June that Josefat Estrada Jr., a family friend, started molesting him when he was 14 years old, said Sgt. Glenn Lawrence of the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department.
Estrada, 35, has been a teacher with the Napa Unified School District at least since the alleged molestation occurred, Lawrence said.
The district confirmed his employment Monday but would not comment on how long he had been with the district or where he taught.
Estrada was arrested at his Napa home and booked into the Sonoma County Jail on eight counts of oral copulation of a minor, one count of oral copulation of a minor unconscious of the act, and one count of performing a lewd act on a child. He was being held on $235,000 bail and was expected in court today.
