Sonoma County faces a slight chance of rain this afternoon, most likely after 2 p.m. if at all, the National Weather Service says.
A storm off the San Luis Obispo County coast is moving south, and some precipitation could “wrap around” the system and reach the Santa Rosa area, forecaster Steve Anderson said.
Today’s rain is more likely to fall from San Jose to the south, he said.
The chance of remain remains slight for Wednesday and Wednesday night, he said, and on Thursday the storm moves away, setting the stage for a dry and mostly clear Thanksgiving Day.
“The storm door is closing,” Anderson said, with clear and dry weather — with some morning fog — for seven straight days starting Thursday. Daytime highs should be in the 60s.
“Great California fall weather,” Anderson said.
