A Manchester man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $9,000 from the Gualala Supermarket since February.

Matthew Frechin, 22, reportedly was caught stealing money on Saturday, according to Mendocino County Sheriff’s Lt. Rusty Noe.

An investigation indicated Frechin, a cashier at the market, had been taking money since February, he said.

Frechin was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and embezzlement and booked into the Mendocino County jail on $15,000 bond.
