Mr. Webley is the chairman of the board for Turin Networks in Petaluma, a telecommunications equipment firm he helped found in 1999. Turin recently agreed to merge with Force 10 based in San Jose. Before Turin, Mr. Webley was with Advanced Fibre Communications, now Tellabs in Petaluma.
In 2008, Webley took the position of CEO for PAX Streamline, a spinoff of San Rafael-based PAX Scientific. The new venture-funded clean tech company develops super-efficient wind generators, water turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, aircraft components and other kinds of industrial equipment.
“As a business leader in telecommunications and now green technology, John has the creative intelligence to assist Sonoma County in the development of green tech startups,” said Supervisor Zane.
