Cloverdale police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a 19-year-old Orland man Thursday evening.
The injured man, Kody Williams, was walking along Citrus Fair Drive under the Highway 101 overpass when he was struck by a vehicle about 7:50 p.m. Thursday.
Williams was found lying partially in the roadway by the driver of a passing Sonoma County Transit bus.
He was taken by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He has not regained consciousness and remains in serious condition in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Cloverdale police said in a statement Saturday night that they believe the vehicle that struck Williams sustained damage to its front end on the passenger side. The department asks that anyone with information on the crash contact Officer Mike Campbell or Sgt. Keith King at 894-2150.
