Petaluma High senior named Dairy Princess

Petaluma High School senior Hope Hanselman is the new District 3 Dairy Princess for Sonoma, Marin and Mendocino counties.

Hanselman, 18, was selected at the 52nd annual Dairy Princess Ball before a standing room only crowd Saturday at the Petaluma Veterans Building.
The first alternate was Petaluma High School senior Mandy Brazil. Second Alternate was Lianne Nunes, a senior of Tomales High School. Both are 17 years old.
All three plan to California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
Hanselman is Associated Student Body President at Petaluma high and has been a member of the French and Spirit clubs. She is currently employed by Petaluma Creamery. Her hobbies include cheerleading and volleyball.
She plans to major in modern languages and literature at Cal Poly with the hope of becoming a teacher.
Brazil intends to study agriculture communications with a minor in dairy science. Nunes wants to major in dairy science.
