Triformix, a Santa Rosa tech company that makes precision optical components for a variety of industries, said Wednesday that Russ Stiles has been named president.
Stiles succeeds Josephine Yuen, who has left the company.
Stiles was a co-founder of Triformix in 2001 and has served as the company’s chief technology officer and director of operations.
He was an optical engineering manager at Santa Rosa’s Optical Coating Laboratory Inc. and JDS Uniphase before starting Triformix.
Triformix bought an optical lens business from JDSU in 2004.
Venture-funded Triformix has 35 employees in Santa Rosa and two in Singapore, where it has a sales office. It makes fiber optic components, computer peripherals and instrumentation and imaging parts for the telecommunications, avionics, automotive, defense, office, medical and other industries.
