Four suspects, one of them a 13-year-old boy, have been arrested in the kidnapping and rape of a 15-year-old Santa Rosa girl early last week.
The three adult suspects appeared in court Thursday to answer to charges that included kidnapping, forcible rape and assault with a deadly weapon. The teen boy was arrested Thursday.
The girl told police she was abducted by four males who forced her into an SUV, drove her to a parking lot at Comstock Middle School, took her from the vehicle and raped her.
She told police the attack occurred at about 8 p.m. April 6, but she did not report it until last Friday, April 10.
Police Sgt. Lisa Banayat said Thursday the case was too sensitive to disclose to the public until Thursday when a final suspect was arrested.
"The case was under investigation and they were tracking down suspects," Banayat said. "They didn't want to jeopardize the case.
Banayat said the girl told investigators she was walking on Coffey Lane near Becky Court, on her way home from a friend's house, when a car twice stopped and one of the four men asked her if she wanted a ride.
When she declined, two of the men forced her into the car, Banayat said. As she was pushed screaming into the car, the assailants slammed her head against the vehicle, police said.
She was driven about a half mile to a parking lot near the softball diamonds adjacent to Comstock Middle School on West Steele Lane. Banayat said each of the four men punched the girl before raping her. They then drove her to the parking lot of the Safeway market on Fourth Street where they let her out, police said.
The girl told police she flagged down a passerby who gave her a ride home. She suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized, though it was unclear if she was seen at a hospital or if any biological evidence was collected.
She reported the assault four days after the attack. Santa Rosa police have arrested Oscar Anibal Magana-Aristando, 20, and Salvador Armando Rivas, 18. Both are charged with kidnaping, rape and assisting another with a rape.
Alejandro Corado, 30, was arrested Monday and has been charged with kidnaping, assault with a deadly weapon and various rape charges. All three men are residents of Santa Rosa and are being held at Sonoma County Jail without bail.
The 13-year-old suspect is being held at county juvenile facilities. His name was not available because of his age. He was booked on charges of rape and kidnapping, Banayat said.
Maana-Aristondo, Rivas and Corado are expected in court again Monday.
