Western Water Constructors of Santa Rosa has won two contracts worth $85 million to build water systems in Oakley and San Francisco.

The company will build the $54.5 million wastewater treatment plant expansion in Oakley. The project will start in May and is expected to take 30 months. It is the largest project in the company’s history.

The employee-owned company will also start work to build a Lake Merced pump station upgrade for San Francisco’s drinking water. The pump station provides San Francisco with 60 percent of its water. The project is expected to be completed in late 2011.

Western Water also runs the social networking site for the construction industry at www.ConstructionExchange.com.
