Redwood Regional names Fairchild chief executive officer

<p>SANTA ROSA, June 4, 2009 – Redwood Regional Medical Group today announced it had selected veteran health care executive Wayne Fairchild as its CEO.</p><p>Mr. Fairchild had been serving as interim CEO.</p><p>The former Petaluma Valley Hospital executive assumed the role after former chief Shahab Dadjou stepped down last August. The Santa Rosa-based medical group board conducted a national search for a replacement.</p><p>“After a lengthy and thorough search process, the board is confident that it is already working with the best leader for our practice. In these challenging times in health care, we are fortunate to have Wayne’s expertise and experience to guide us,” said Dr. Helen Collins, president of Redwood’s board.</p><p>Mr. Fairchild has worked in health care for more than 30 years, working previously in administration for several Hawaii-based hospitals. In his new role, he will report to the executive committee of the group’s board and oversee day-to-day operations of the practice.</p>
