Sebastopol woman, 20, named Miss Wine County Rodeo

Bailey Ungewitter, a 20-year-old Sebastopol resident, has been selected as the Sonoma County Fair’s 2009 Miss Wine County Rodeo.
Ungewitter was part of the Sebastopol FFA at Analy High School and for 12 years has been involved with the Gold Ridge 4-H group. She has has been a part of the American Cowboys Team Roping Association, National Barrel Horse Association, and the Sebastopol Wranglers.
At age 16, Ungewitter survived a car crash that claimed the lives of two friends. That motivated her to become a public speaker for the program Alive at 25, which promotes safe driving among teenagers.
She plans to become a nurse and specialize in caring for children with cancer.
Bailey will appear July 31 at the fair’s CCPRA Rodeo and Aug. 1 at the fair’s new Bull Riding Show. Fair dates are July 28 through August 9.
