A recreational vehicle burst into flames Sunday on Calistoga Road, igniting a small grass fire and closing the rural road in both directions for almost an hour.
The front half of the 30-foot vehicle was destroyed in the blaze. No one was reported injured.
The fire, which started at about 4:30 p.m. just south of St. Helena Road, spread to surrounding vegetation, according to CalFire.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze along the roadway, which consumed about a 10-foot by 10-foot patch.
Traffic reopened in both directions at about 5:40 p.m.
The cause of the RV fire was not available late Sunday afternoon.
