Yay! There's just something cool about a train.
I'm glad they're coming back.

Yeah, I agree. It gives a town character.

Let's not forget that freight trains takes trucks off the highways too.
I missed the passage through town, but I saw them working on the tracks at Hopper Street and thought, "Can it be...? Yes!" SMART, here we come.

hmmm....and barges do as well!

Hmmm... true colors show, eh? I thought the entire city council was opposed to Dutra. Is this not the case? Did you not sign on? You sure do vacillate wildly David - I see why Franco is so frustrated with you.
I support barges 1000% and have said so many times. The ONE AND ONLY argument Dutra had in its favor was barging materials on the river. That said, it wasn't anywhere near enough to offset all the other reasons why it was a bad idea. So barges are to be encouraged, certainly, as long as they're not carrying hazardous materials and as long as Haystack Landing is not used as an asphalt production facility.
Did anyone know a K-6 school is likely to be built near Shollenberger Park, directly downwind from Haystack?!?!? I'm glad we stopped this horrible project when we did.
PS. Hey, I can hear the train right now!

Still waiting for your "honest" "open" and "approachable" response, Mr. Integrity...
