A 39-year-old Windsor man was arrested on murder charges Thursday in connection with a homicide during an early morning fight at a Windsor apartment.
Arthur Marquez was being held in the Sonoma County Jail in connection with the death of a 49-year-old man, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives.
Windsor police were called to the apartment in the 300 block of Duncan Drive about 4:30 a.m. Thursda because a man was reportedly not breathing after having been involved in a fight.
Emergency medical technicians were unable to revive the man and he was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Tim Duke of the sheriff’s violent crime unit.
The county coroner’s office said the man’s death was suspicious, but have not released further details about his wounds.
Investigators determined that his death was the result of a physical fight and they took Marquez into custody.
Several people were in the apartment at the time of the fight and investigators were interviewing witnesses on Thursday.
