Santa Rosa cyclist struck by car at Guerneville Road

A bicyclist sustained moderate injuries in a crash Friday morning in Santa Rosa at the intersection of Guerneville Road and Range Avenue.

A woman riding on the bike’s handlebars had minor injuries.

The bicyclist was traveling northbound on Range Avenue when he ran a red light and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Guerneville Road at about 10:15 a.m., Santa Rosa Police Sgt. Alissa Johnson said.

The names of the bicyclist and his passenger, both adults, were not immediately available, The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital.
