Law officials have seized 97,630 marijuana plants in Mendocino County since a state Department of Justice Campaign Against Marijuana Production team arrived June 29, officials said.

The plants were seized from 23 gardens in remote regions near Cow Mountain, Hopland, Boonville and Willits, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

The raids were conducted by the County of Mendocino Marijuana Eradication Team, assisted by officials from CAMP and the Bureau of Land Management. No arrests were made but several suspects are being investigated, said Sheriff’s Capt. Kurt Smallcomb.
