Paulette Sun Davis has been named chief executive officer of One-Now, a new division of Empowerment Technology Corp. Founded in 1981, the Petaluma-based management training and coaching company provides products and workshops designed to create a life worth living. Davis is the past president of the Illuminations retail chain.

Paul Bozzo, business advisor for the Small Business Development Center at Santa Rosa Junior College, was named a Certified Master Trainer by the NxLeveL Education Foundation. NxLeveL is the largest entrepreneurial training program in the United States with more than 160,000 business leaders completing a NxLeveL course since 1996. Bozzo is one of only 15 Certified Master Trainers in the United States and is the first in California.
V. Lynn Cox, founder of EMPower Eldercare Management in Sonoma, has become certified in care management from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. Lynn has been practicing as a Geriatric Care Manager since 2005. She assists families with the challenges of aging such as finding appropriate housing, in-home care and referrals to medical providers or elder law attorneys.
Dr. Z. Paul Lorenc, a plastic surgeon from Manhattan, has opened an office in Santa Rosa. Lorenc is the author of the bestseller "A Little Work . . . Behind the Doors of a Park Avenue Plastic Surgeon." He is a clinical professor of plastic surgery at New York University, a master researcher for Johnson & Johnson and is credited as the pioneer for the endoscopic brow lift.
The office is located at 500 Doyle Park Drive, Suite 300.
Dr. Karin N. Boehm has joined the optometric office of John J. Tracy, O.D. The office is located at 2655 Cleveland Ave. in Santa Rosa. Boehm has been practicing optometry in Santa Rosa for six years.
The Sonoma State University Alumni Association has announced the election of four new members to its board of directors.
Kelly Bass, a 2003 art history graduate, will serve as vice president. She is marketing and public relations manager for the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce. Molly Rattigan, a 2002 graduate in political science, will also serve as vice president. She is senior management analyst for the Napa County Executive Office.
Vincent Cortese, a graduate in 2000 with a degree in communications, will serve as treasurer. He is an assistant vice president at Bank of America. Elaina Hunt, a 2005 business marketing graduate, is a director. She is acting director of marketing for Summit State Bank.
First Community Bank has promoted Cindy McConnell to vice president/loan administrator. She joined First Community Bank in 2006, serving as VP/loan operations manager. She previously held positions at Sonoma Valley Bank and National Bank of the Redwoods.
Christine Del Rio has been hired to replace McConnell as loan operations manager. She began her career in mortgage banking with Wells Fargo Bank in 2001. Most recently, she served as loan administration manager at Wells Fargo.
Sandy Pariani has been named assistant vice president and manager of the bank's new East Petaluma branch. Previously, she was Petaluma branch manager with Summit State Bank. She has also previously held positions with the Bank of Petaluma and National Bank of the Redwoods.
Stephen Schwitalla has been named co-chairman of the advisory board for the Culinary Society of America. The Sonoma multimedia company is developing a membership organization devoted to culinary enthusiasts and professionals. Schwitalla is CEO of the Sonoma County Vintners Co-operative and founding partner of Pack N' Ship Direct, both based in Windsor. He also serves on the board of directors for North Coast Community Bank in Santa Rosa.
Four longtime leaders in the local building industry have been inducted into the "Construction Hall of Fame" by the North Coast Builders Exchange, joining 29 previous inductees.
Leroy Carlenzoli is the founder and president of Carlenzoli & Associates, one of the North Bay's leading civil engineering companies since 1987. He has been deeply involved in numerous professional organizations.
Dave Koch, president of Koch Construction Co., started his company in 1988 and has built numerous homes, apartments, medical buildings, shopping centers, wineries and more throughout the North Bay. He served as president of NCBE in 1998.
Ralph Locke has been a political advocate for the construction industry, playing an instrumental role in its growth and development for nearly 30 years, with most of that time spent with Syar Industries.
John Ramatici, who passed away in 2007, was inducted posthumously. Working at Don Ramatici Insurance in Petaluma, he was deeply involved in the North Coast Builders Exchange and in the Engineering Contractors Association.
