Busy weekend of DUI arrests in Sonoma County

Sonoma County highway patrol officers made 20 arrests of drivers suspected of drunken driving over the weekend, the CHP reported Monday.
Two suspected drunken drivers drivers were arrested after causing collisions. The first occurred at 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Bohemian Highway in Camp Meeker, Officer Jon Sloat said.
The driver of that car, Meghann Kavanagh, 29, of Guerneville, drove off the highway near Market Street, Sloat said.
She was not injured.
A second suspected DUI collision was reported at 9:24 p.m. Sunday on Canyon 2 Road, north of River Road.
Billy Jo Phenix, 29, of Rio Nido, was involved in a minor collision with another car, Sloat said.
He was not injured.
Of the 20 drivers arrested on suspicion of DUI, 13 were also suspected of driving without a valid drivers’ license and three were suspected of violating probation, said Sloat.
