A woman riding her bicycle on Burnside Road Friday afternoon suffered head injuries after she was struck by a vehicle, authorities said.
The hit-and-run crash occurred after 2 p.m.
The woman was riding on the road when the vehicle struck her from behind, said Sal McAbata, a battalion chief with the Gold Ridge Fire Protection District.
McAbata said the woman did not lose consciousness and that she was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
A witness provided a description of the vehicle to the CHP.
