Paul DeMarco has been named director of finance and administration for the Sonoma Land Trust, effective Nov. 30. He will replace Lois Downy, who is retiring after nine years in the role. Since 1997, DeMarco has served as vice president for finance and administration at Community Foundation Sonoma County.

Daniel Rasmussen has been appointed marketing and sales manager at Marizco Landscape Management. Rasmussen, who has more than 25 years experience in the industry, obtained his Sustainable Landscape Professional certification from Sonoma State University last year.
Kate Frey, garden designer, writer and educator, has been named director of the Sustainable Landscape program at Sonoma State University. She managed and designed the Fetzer Vineyards gardens in Hopland, and is a three-time medal winner at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
Chuck Green has been appointed vice president of sales at Weetabix North America, the Petaluma company that markets foods under the Weetabix, Barbara's Bakery, Alpen and Nature's Choice brands. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Traders Point Creamery, an Indiana organic dairy and restaurant. He also served as president and CEO of Brigham's Inc., a Massachusetts ice cream brand and restaurant chain, and held executive positions at Unilever Ice Cream North America and H.P. Hood Ice Cream Division.

Simpac Financial and Fountain Grove Mortgage have merged as Fountain Grove Mortgage, creating the largest independent, locally owned mortgage broker in Sonoma County based on business volume and employees. Simpac Financial owners Joe Titone, John Klein Jr. and Mike Muhlethaler have joined their brokerage unit with Fountain Grove Mortgage and its owners John LeCave and Steve Loomis.
Richard Spitler has started Spitler & Associates, a planning and permitting consulting firm in Santa Rosa. He has been a planner in Sonoma County for more than 17 years. He offers services to private developers and municipalities.
Summit State Bank has opened a new branch in Rohnert Park, located at 10 Raley's Towne Centre. Summit State also operates branches in Healdsburg, Santa Rosa and Petaluma.
Dr. Robert Moore, medical director for the Redwood Community Health Coalition and for the Community Health Clinic Ole, was honored with a Hero Award by the California Primary Care Association at its annual conference. Moore was recognized for his leadership in improving the health and well-being of underserved populations in the North Bay. He also serves as chairman of the CPCA Clinicians Committee and Standardized Measures Group.
John Brodey has joined Sequoia Pacific Mortgage in Santa Rosa as a reverse mortgage specialist. Previously, Brodey worked at Fairway Independent Mortgage in Los Angeles and established its first reverse mortgage branch.
The Wine Country Chapter of the Project Management Institute announced that William Berg, Bruce Marinace and Sasun Torikian have earned the Project Management Professional certification.
Berg is director of Project Management at Jackson Family Enterprises in Santa Rosa. Marinace and Torikian are independent project management consultants in Santa Rosa.
