Two partiers injured in Santa Rosa hit-and-run

<p>Two Santa Rosa residents who got an early start on Halloween revelry Saturday night suffered moderate injuries when they were struck by a passing car after inexplicably walking into the northbound lane of Stony Point Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.</p><p>The vehicle did not stop after striking Jessica Fonseca, 20, and Michael Lanter, 22, who were attending a Halloween party near Todd Road and Stony Point Road.</p><p>Fonseca and Lanter were taken by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.</p><p>Police are searching for the driver in connection with the apparent hit and run. The vehicle was described to police as a burgundy Chevrolet pickup with a bug guard and long bed, and manufactured between the years of 1987 and 1992. Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP at 588-1400.</p><p>CHP officer Kimberly Lemons urged party-goers and children collecting candy to wear bright-colored clothes and carry a flashlight.</p>
