Rohnert Park police are looking for a stolen car and two suspected armed carjackers, police reported Tuesday.
A Cotati man called police just before 1 a.m. Sunday to say two men, armed with handguns, ordered him out of his car, Lt. Jeff Taylor said.
The driver, Victor Kunkel, 26, said he was stopped on Arlen Drive with his car running and his doors unlocked, Taylor said.
“They opened his door, told him to get out and pointed guns at the victim,” Taylor said.
Kunkel said he last saw his blue 2000 BMW heading toward Commerce Boulevard.
He described the two as Latino men, both between 20 and 30 years old and both standing about 5-foot-9. One wore a red shirt, had a shaved head and tattoos on both arms. The other man wore all black clothes and a black beanie.
Kunkel said the guns appeared to be black semi-automatic handguns.
The car had a license plate of 5BWM034.
