Mary Maxine Rardin

A funeral service for Mary Maxine Rardin will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Mrs. Rardin died on Oct. 28, 2009 at the age of 91.

Before moving to Petaluma in 1960, Mrs. Rardin and her husband, Charles, lived on a farm in Columbus, Kansas.

She was active at Adobe Christian Center, serving as a board member, treasurer, mentor and teacher. Additionally, the Rardin’s regularly opened their home to minister to missionaries and pastors for home cooking and hospitality.

She is survived by her children, Kathryn Marie Baldes of Petaluma and Carol Ann Hoxie of Burney; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Ernest Rardin.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6.
